About Scripture Seeds
The Scripture Seeds logo is composed of a vellum parchment fragment of the New Testament
written in Greek. This is one of the most uncorrupted fragments with a direct line
to the original text extant, and for us represents the entire Bible, both Old and
New Testaments. It is the foundation upon which Scripture Seeds has been created.
The 3 wheat stalks are used to represent The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.
The seeds of the wheat stalk represent the seeds of knowledge grown from good seed,
the Bible, which is to be sown amongst all the people of the earth.
The font used for the words, "Scripture Seeds" is called papyrus to emphasize the
historical medium from which this document was created. Taken together these objects
represent the sowing the seeds of God's word in all lands, to all peoples.
"Behold, the sower went out to sow; and as he sowed, some seeds fell beside the
road, and the birds came and ate them up. Others fell on the rocky places, where
they did not have much soil; and immediately they sprang up, because they had no
depth of soil. But when the sun had risen, they were scorched; and because they
had no root, they withered away. Others fell among the thorns, and the thorns came
up and choked them out. And others fell on the good soil and yielded a crop, some
a hundredfold, some sixty and some thirty...
"When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil
one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is the one on
whom seed was sown beside the road. "The one on whom seed was sown on the rocky
places, this is the man who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy;
yet he has no firm root in himself, but is only temporary, and when affliction or
persecution arises because of the word, immediately he falls away. And the one on
whom seed was sown among the thorns, this is the man who hears the word, and the
worry of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes
unfruitful. And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the man
who hears the word and understands it; who indeed bears fruit and brings forth,
some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty."
The Scripture Seeds Foundation has been created to Glorify God and to help spread
the Good News about His Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We believe that
faith comes by hearing the Word of God. We strive to declare man's need for having
a spiritual, as well as personal relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ
. The gift that God has made available is a relationship and not a religion. Our
aim in ministry is to introduce people, through the Word of God and evangelism to
the only Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We strongly believe in the power of prayer
and as a church body we petition God, according to His will, to answer our prayers.
The Scripture Seeds Foundation is made possible by the donations and sponsorship
of our membership and largely by the support of Chapel-by-the Sea (CBTS) Baptist Church in Tybee Island,
GA. The Pastor of CBTS, David C. Laughner, is a biblical scholar and Brother David's
sermons, taken directly from the bible scriptures, are lessons for everyday life
which help us to grow our personal relationship with God, as well as providing an
in-depth explanation and illumination of the Word of God. These sermons and lessons
are featured on the site, www.scriptureseeds.org, and are provided to you free of
charge. We do ask the you share these lessons with others and help us spread God's
Word.
The membership of the Scripture Seeds Foundation is a missions oriented organization
that considers themselves Christ's disciples and as such want you to know and enjoy
the Grace and Love of God. Through faith in God, and God alone, you can find salvation
and peace on earth. After all, we saints are merely on this earth and not of this
earth. We are but passing through, but while we are here it is our obligation and
mission to help fulfill the Great Commission and to share the wonderful Word of
God with those who will but hear it. Faith is all about a personal relationship
with Christ, not a religion.
The brothers and sisters of Scripture Seeds and Chapel-by-the-Sea want you to enjoy,
and hopefully learn from this website. Our hope is that you will share this site
with others and become an avid participant in the blogs, workshops and societies
you will find here. All aspects of this site are free to all visitors and registered
members. We ask only that you act responsibly on the site and encourage others to
act in a like manner.
The Scripture Seeds Foundation and this website exist only though your generous
