How Do I Become A Christian?

There is only one way to have everlasting life. There is only one way to live forever and be assured that you will always be with the Lord. There is only one way to the kingdom of God and the kingdom of heaven. There is only one way to the Father and that one way is Jesus Christ.

God loved you so much that He sent Jesus to earth to pay the price for your sins and make a way for you to live forever with Him. He paid the price you could not pay. He made a way of escape from the bondage of sin and death.

Receiving the gift of salvation is simple. You need only understand that man is born with a sin nature. This is because by being born of man and woman we are all children of Adam. As such all men (and women) are sinners. It is in the blood that runs through our bodies. It is only by acknowledging the blood Christ shed on the cross for us that our sin can be cleansed. Why only the blood of Jesus? Because Jesus was not born of man and woman, but a virgin woman only and therefore does not have the blood of man (Adam). By not having the blood of Adam, Jesus was able to be born without the sin nature, and His blood was pure. The blood of His sacrifice at Calvary is able to cleanse away our sin when we follow the steps listed below:

Step #1 You Must Believe in Jesus Christ.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." (John 3:16-17) "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household." (Acts 16:31)

Step #2 You Must Confess Your Sin. You must acknowledge that you are a sinner and you want Jesus to wash your sins away.
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)

Step #3 You Must Repent (Turn away from your sins).
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23) "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe in the gospel." (Mark 1:15)

Step #4 You Must Confess Jesus.
"If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10)

Step #5 You Must Accept the Gift of Salvation.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God." (Ephesians 2:8)
"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name." (John 1:12)

"Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." (2 Corinthians 6:2)

Pray this Prayer

My Dear Heavenly Father,

I come in the Name of Jesus.
I thank you for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, into this world to die for my sin and for raising Him from the dead so that I may have everlasting life.
I accept Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord.
I repent of my sin and I forgive those who have sinned against me.
I believe in my heart and I confess openly my belief in Jesus.
I thank you for forgiving me of my sin and giving me eternal life.
I thank you for your Grace and Love.
I receive this gift by faith alone, with great joy, and an open heart and soul.
Come Holy Spirit I pray,
In the name of Jesus Christ, My Lord and Savior,

Amen
