Chrislam is a new doctrine making inroads in Christian America. There are those
who have been, for a long time, denouncing that America was founded as a Christian
nation. Now one of the fastest growing doctrines is trying to impact America as
it has in many areas of Europe. Islam has now been embraced by some Christian churches
in the form of Chrislam.
What is Chrislam? It is a blending of Christianity and Islam, hence the term Chrislam.
There are churches in America who have placed the Holy Bible and Quran side by side
in their church pews. It is an attempt by some Christians to find common ground
with Islam. This day has been a long time in coming. Chrislam is a new avenue by
which preachers, desiring to fill their pews and their bank accounts, may merge
apostate Christianity with the "religion" of Islam. Christians, make no
mistake, that day has arrived in America!
The blending of Christianity and Islam has been called by some to be dangerous and
still by others to be just outright wrong. God uses stronger words than that. Scripture
labels it as a spirit of Antichrist. In 1 John 2:18-29, it implies that John's
readers had been taught to expect an Anti-Christ in connection with the closing
days of the Christian Era. However, John applies the word, not to one person, but
to the whole group of Anti-Christian teachers. John 2:18 says, "Children, it
is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many
antichrists have arisen; from this we know that it is the last hour."
Further, 1 John 4:3 goes on to say, "and every spirit that does not confess
Jesus is not from God; and this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have
heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world." This scripture
reference should be scary enough for those that would either turn from the teachings
of Christ or even dare imply tolerance of Islam.
The New Testament idea seems to be that the spirit of antichrist would arise in
Christendom, manifesting itself in many ways, both within the Church and without,
finally culminating in one person, or an institution, or both. Think for a moment,
Islam teaches that Allah is God and Jehovah is not God and that Jesus was only a
man, not the God man. Islam does not recognize the divine birth of Christ, the Trinity,
nor the fact that Christ arose from the dead on the third day. Allah does not exist,
God says in His word that there is only one God of the universe and He, Yahweh,
is that God.
The word "antichrist" simply means 'against Christ' or 'opposes
Christ'. Therefore, anything introduced into the Church and put before the body
of believers as equal to Christ, downplaying or outright denying the finished work
of Jesus on the Cross, is a spirit of antichrist. This kind of teaching distracts,
corrupts, and takes away from who Jesus Christ is and what He accomplished at the
Cross. In 1 Timothy 4:1, the Apostle Paul writes, "But the Spirit explicitly
says that in latter times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to
deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons."
The acceptance of Islamic practices into the Church is giving way to seducing spirits
and is teaching doctrines contrary to that taught by the Word of God. The Apostle
John put it very plain as he wrote in 1 John 2:22, "Who is the liar but the
one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies
the Father and the Son." The supreme liar is the one who denies that Jesus
Christ came in the flesh, i.e., that He was both man and God. Islam unequivocally
denies that Jesus is the Son of God and the true Messiah.
The apostle Peter wrote in 2 Peter: 2:1, "But false prophets also arose among
the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce
destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction
upon themselves." The price for the sins of all men, including these false
teachers, was paid by the death of Christ, though no man can benefit from this forgiveness
except through faith in the Savior, Jesus Christ. God told the apostle John to write
these words to the church in Laodicea in Revelation 3:15-16, "I know your deeds
that you are neither cold nor hot; I would that you were cold or hot. So because
you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth."
Will God determine that those who invite Islamic practices into His Church are neither
hot nor cold? Will He spit them out of His mouth? Remember, it is the way of the
antichrist to oppose the word of God.
The leaders of Churches of the Christian faith who bring Islam and the Quran into
the Church to pacify, appease, or be politically correct is to deny the Lord Himself.
Further, they deny who He is, and it is to deny what He accomplished at Calvary's
Cross some 2000 years ago, when He gave His life for the sins of the world. Just
as bad, it is an open acceptance of the Spirit of Antichrist, which John said will
bring swift destruction and ultimately, yet sadly, the damning of the soul.
What must the Church of believers do now? Those who are introducing this new doctrine,
Chrislam, must get back to preaching the word of God. Preachers of the Word must
get back to proclaiming that salvation through Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation.
Believers of the Word must proclaim the deity of Christ without fear or reprisal
and that He is the one true God and no other exists. Further, believers must continue
to declare that the Holy Scriptures are the inerrant word of God, not the Quran.
Everyone is free to worship as they desire. What is stated here is about defending
who Jesus Christ is and what He accomplished at the Cross. It is defending the purity
of the Church and keeping false doctrines from entering its doors to become stumbling
blocks. Jesus taught us by example to be loving, forgiving and tolerant, but not
at the expense of the true Word. In order to defend the Christian faith, we should
strive to become more knowledgeable about our own Christian faith as compared to
Islam. We should also understand the underlying mission of the spread of Islam,
both religious and political. Make no mistake; Chrislam is the first step toward
religious and political domination in America and the world.
The False Religion of Islam Is Idolatry, Which the One True and Living God Hates
True, the Christian is not to be hostile to individual Muslims; that’s a given concerning
the Lord instructs us to love your neighbor as yourself (cf. Leviticus 19:18; Matthew
19:19). However, disciples of Jesus Christ are also to love the Lord your God with
all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (Matthew 22:37), which
means that we must also hate what He hates.
God hates idolatry:
Do not turn to idols or make for yourselves any gods of cast metal: I am the Lord
your God… For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols, but the Lord made
the heavens…
They are both stupid and foolish; the instruction of idols is but wood! … No, I
imply that what pagans sacrifice they offer to demons and not to God. I do not want
you to be participants with demons. (Leviticus 19:4; Psalm 96:5; Jeremiah 10:8;
1 Corinthians 10:20)

Idolatry
Despite the man-pleasing mythology of this spiritual circus big tent postmodern
form of Progressive Christianity, God hates other religions; He always has, which
is obvious from the very first of the Ten Commandments — “You shall have no other
gods before me” (Exodus 20:3). The capricious and unknowable god of Islam is not
the loving and personal God revealed in the Bible, which means it is demonic; and
therefore, an idol. There’s no way a Christian pastor-teacher can allow idolaters
to share about their demonic idols during a service for the worship in Jesus Christ
of the only God there is ( Isaiah 45:21-22; Mark 12:29-32).
Clearly, Islam and Christianity are mutually exclusive. Both claim to be the only
true way to God, but both cannot be right. There is no atonement in Islam, no forgiveness,
no savior, and no assurance of eternal life. The gospel of Jesus Christ is a message
of hope; Islam is a religion of hopelessness.
Making these kinds of distinctions may not be politically correct, but it is critical
if the purity of the gospel is to be protected. Put simply, there is no salvation
outside of Christ. When this truth is compromised, the gospel is abandoned—and so
is the only hope that we can offer to those who are not our enemies, but rather
our mission field.
