Homeward Bound

My spirit quickens as I start to kneel,
and focus my mind upon God.
I open my soul and begin to feel,
the strength of His staff and His rod.

I want to be with my Father in Heaven,
and join in the chorus of praise.
A stirring inside of my God-given leaven,
reveals Him in so many ways.

I stay on the path and try hard not to roam,
and wait for the Words of His love.
I listen intently for His call to come home,
and dwell in His mansion above.

I hear Him now in the depths of my prayer,
and He tells me that I must do more.
I must spread the Word, make others aware,
and shout of His love with a roar.

For the Kingdom is coming, leave none behind,
Offer my Kingdom to all.
Show them the way, lest they choose to be blind,
And encourage them to heed the call.

I praise my ABBA for His love and affection,
and vow to provide my best.
I deal with my guidance with serious reflection,
and am renewed on my spiritual quest.

I know in my soul without a single doubt,
that once I was lost but am found.
My spirit now knows to follow the route,
and soon Ill be Homeward Bound.
